Red, Yellow, Blue
January 12 - February 11, 2006

Larissa Goldston Gallery is pleased to present Red, Yellow, Blue, an exhibition of prints by Carroll Dunham, Helen Frankenthaler, Fritz Glarner, Robert Indiana, Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist, Susan Rothenberg and Terry Winters. The works span four decades and explore multiple printmaking techniques using only primary colors and, on occasion, black. Imagery ranges from pop to abstract.

Significant examples of each artist's career are included in the exhibition, drawing attention to the importance of the use of primary colors in contemporary printmaking. While some of the prints explore the role and influence of cultural iconography, others use patterns from science, architecture, design and the artists' imagination. Works on view include Venice by Frankenthaler, Untitled (Red, Yellow, Blue) by Johns, Reflections on Minerva by Lichtenstein, Campaign by Rosenquist, Stuntman I, II, III by Rauschenberg, and Models for Synthetic Pictures by Terry Winters.

The exhibition will be on view from Thursday, January 11 through Saturday, February 11, 2006.

Larissa Goldston Gallery is located at 530 West 25th Street, 3rd floor. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11am-6pm. For more information, please contact the gallery at 212 206 7887, email at info@larissagoldston.com, or visit www.larissagoldston.com.
